For kids ages 6–13, Pirate Legends is a mystery box featuring pirate journals and maps, mind-bending puzzles, personalized letters, outdoor gadgets and games, and much more.
Set off on an exciting island adventure filled with mystery, exploration, and discovery! When players receive a curious letter from a quirky conservationist named Sage, they’re invited to help solve a puzzling secret hidden deep within a tropical paradise once roamed by pirates.
It all begins when Sage discovers an old pirate poem filled with riddles and hidden clues pointing to a long-lost treasure. With the help of the friendly science team, The Wreck Lab, players follow the trail through lush jungles, secret caves, and sun-soaked beaches, uncovering the pirate’s story and the path to their hidden treasure. But they are not alone—others are searching too. Can players solve the riddles and uncover the treasure before it’s too late? And why did this mysterious pirate hide it in the first place?
Along the way, players will discover how they are connected to the treasure’s story, learn about the island’s nature and history, and uncover surprising links to its pirate-filled past. With its mix of adventure, problem-solving, and mystery, this story sparks curiosity and encourages imaginative play. Players also receive outdoor gadgets featured in the story, inspiring them to explore and create their own adventures in the real world.

Immersive Letters
A series of six immersive letters from a cast of three different characters. These characters are addressing the players usually in need of help to progress the story. Puzzles, educational content, and imaginative story telling are included to involve players on an engaging adventure moment to moment.
Educational Content
We weave educational content throughout the adventure to expand kids’ understanding of wildlife, history, and science. For example, players receive a magazine from Wreck Labs, the scientific team guiding their journey. It’s filled with fascinating facts about pirate legends like the Kraken and the Flying Dutchman, while explaining the real-world phenomena behind them, such as giant squids and natural ocean mysteries.
Kids also learn about famous pirates like Blackbeard, including stories of survival and life on remote islands. Along the way, they discover incredible wildlife facts, such as how sea turtles like the loggerhead can travel thousands of kilometers across the ocean and return to the exact beach where they were born.
We also bring pirate life to life by showing what it was really like—from what pirates ate to how they lived on board ships. Kids can even try a fun pirate-inspired recipe at home with their family.
Outdoor Fun
Players receive items like a glow-in-the-dark wrist compass, with simple instructions and an outdoor activity that ties into becoming a scientist with the Wreck Labs crew.
They also receive a Wreck Labs backpack, inspiring them to step into the role of the scientists in the story by exploring, discovering, and protecting the island. Each item is designed to spark imagination and give kids fun tools they can use in their own adventures, whether they prefer to pretend they are on the hunt for treasure, or wanting to be more like the truth seeking scientists in the story!
